1. If its in America, depending on the state and individual college there are anti-hazing laws which are punishable by fines, prison, and the college can revoke their charter and kick them out of the school.
   
   Most members are sworn to secrecy and will NOT tell you what goes on during pledging. If you decide to pledge and feel as though you have been hazed you should let the police and school administrators know, other than that just have fun and don't be nervous.
2. The National Panhellenic Council has outlawed all hazing in every chapter of all of the member organization (local and international). However, the process is about testing your intelligence. You may be "tried," but that doesn't mean you have to endure everything they try you with. If you choose to endure some of the more questionable practices, just remember: "Pain is only temporary."
