Can somone explain the pros and cons of joining alpha gamma sigma or phi theta kappa?

I'm going to a 2-year college that offers these programs. From experience are these worth joining?

1. I was in phi theta kappa when I went to a 2 year.
   
   Let me tell you, it was a great experience!
   
   Not only does it look good on 4 year applications (if you plan on transfering), there are so many opportunities with it.
   
   At my school I was the secretary/treasurer, and because of that I helped out with community projects. Plus I got to go on amazing trips to Seattle and Dallas, plus smaller ones too.
   
   I can't think of a single con besides the fact that it does cost money to join, but it is definitely worth it!
2. I am the current VP of Fellowship/President Elect with my Phi Theta Kappa chapter and I love it! The opportunities that open up to you are unbelievable! In Florida there are 4yr schools that offer transfer scholarships to Phi Theta Kappans ONLY. It really adds up and helps out. I think you should definitely pursue the opportunity! Good luck!
