How do you unlock all the characters in street fighter alpha 3?

I have street fighter alpha 3 for ps2 which came in street fighter alpha antholgy.I want to know how to unlock all the characters and secrets but i think the ways of unlocking them are different from the original street figher alpha 3 that came out years ago.Can someone help?

   Play as Juli
   
   At the character selection screen, highlight Karin for approximately three seconds. Then, highlight a "Random Select" box, hold Up or Down (away from the characters) and press any punch or kick button.

   At the character selection screen, highlight Karin for approximately three seconds. Then, highlight a "Random Select" box, hold Left or Right (away from the characters) and press any punch or kick button.
